MaKensey Kaye Alford

Hello! My name is MaKensey Kaye Alford. I am a mezzo-soprano with a strong mix and belt with a focus in contemporary musical theatre and pop/rock style singing. I am a strong actor and strong mover with good comedic timing, but I do not shy away from dramatic roles. I am determined, resilient, and reliable. I am someone who will work as hard as I can to make my dreams come true.

During the summer of 2024, I  worked at Prairie Repertory Theatre in Brookings, SD. I performed the role of the Stepmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, and I was the understudy for Reverend Mother Mary Regina and Sister Mary Hubert in Nunsense. I worked in the costume shop as a stitcher for their full summer season, and I was on the wardrobe crew for And Then There Were None.

I recently played Fraulein Kost in the University of Montevallo's production of Cabaret (Nov. 21-24th)!

On December 15, 2024, I made my Green Room 42 Debut in a Holiday Traditions Cabaret with the Amy Murphy Studio. On December 17th, I performed at Don't Tell Mama in another of Seth Bisen-Hersh's Cabaret Showcases!

 I performed in the University of Montevallo's Senior Showcase in New York City on March 12th, 2025 at Open Jar Studios. I was seen performing "Finish the Fight" from Suffs, "Warrior" by Demi Lovato, and a scene from The Practice.

I performed in the "And The Award Goes To..." cabaret at St. Lukes Theatre in NYC on Mar. 29!

I most recently played the Customer/Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors at the University of Montevallo (April 10-13)!

I am currently a senior B.F.A. Musical Theatre major at the University of Montevallo. I began performing as a young child in Mobile, Alabama. I performed at many theatres including: Mobile Saenger Theatre, Playhouse in the Park, Joe Jefferson Players, Spring Hill Singers Show Choir, and Baker High School Theatre Department.
